How to Configure an Email Account in iOS (iPhone)




Follow the steps and provide the required information to configure your account.
  1. Tap Mail on the Home screen of your iOS device.
  2. Select Other > Add Mail Account.
  3. Select POP3 or IMAP (not sure which one to choose? See "POP3 vs IMAP. What's the difference?" Article).
  4. Incoming mail server host name would be "mail.tomahawk.ca".
  5. Fill in your username & password.
  6. Outgoing mail server host name is also "mail.tomahawk.ca"
  7. Fill in your username & password (same details as your incoming mail server).
  8. Your iPhone should now attempt to verify your account settings. Make sure you have a clear signal/connection as a poor a connection may take too long to verify and timeout.

If needed please see this knowledge base article for a list of port numbers (i.e. 110, 366, 25, etc).

If you already have an email account set up and you want to modify its settings, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, tap the name of your account, and then your email address. Then tap any information you want to adjust.

If you want to add another account, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account… and follow the onscreen instructions.
